First Days

So this Fall marks Aiden's first year of school and Devin's first adventure in daycare. It also happened to coincide with my first day of work so Ian was left to shuttle everyone around and make sure the kids made it out the door with everything required for their first days.

On top of dropping me at the train at 6:24 AM and getting the kids fed, cleaned, dressed, and in the car, I also asked Ian to take a few pictures. It was a lot to ask but he came through with a few!

Here is Devin at his new daycare facility. They love him and, while there have been a few tears at drop-off, he's been super happy by the time we've picked him up.


After dropping Devin off, Ian took Aiden to his elementary school. They had the kids waiting in the gym to be lined up for their respective classes because it was raining outside.

Aiden was looking a little nervous but hid it well.


Thank goodness our neighbor, Johanna, is in his grade AND his class! He brightened up as soon as he saw her!


Not a "perfect" first day but we survivied and are well into the school year!
