We've had a busy week around here but the absolute highlight was our trip to Vermont and New Hampshire! I've lived in Massachusetts for almost 11 years and (gasp!) this was my first trip north of the state line! We saw lots and had a fabulous time.
We drove up to Lebanon, NH on Monday and stayed at a hotel there. Monday was just exploring a bit and enjoying the pool (Aiden's favorite part). Tuesday morning we got up and headed for South Royalton, VT, to see a sculpture display at the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial. The statues were all of Christ and His ministry and were AMAZING!

After South Royalton, we drove down to Quechee, VT, to the Vermont Institute of Natural Science which is mostly a bird rehabilitation facility. We got to see a live raptor show which was very entertaining and educational.

Checking out the peregrine falcons who have thick bars and mesh screening on their enclosure (apparently they're a little "high strung" and the extra bars keep them from hurting themselves on the wire mesh)

On Wednesday we headed to Quechee Gorge and Woodstock, VT, before heading home. The gorge is considered the "Grand Canyon of New England" and is very pretty!

In Woodstock we stopped at the Billings Farm Museum to see an operational dairy farm. They have the oldest herd of jersey cows in the US and some very adorable baby calves.
Aiden petted them and loved it!

We really had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back! I think this might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship [grin].

We love NH! Craigs family has a condo near Loon Mtn. We hang out on the river and hike, its the best! Try going up north for foliage, it is so pretty!
Hey we went to that sculpture show at the memorial when I was in Vermont too. I loved it but sadly did not bring my camera in.
