The last days...

This week marked the end of two firsts: Devin went to daycare this year (a first for him and for our family) and Aiden went to Kindergarten this year (our first child in school). As the week comes to a close, we say goodbye to friends, fun, and teachers and prepare for a summer with a new baby.

Aiden's class gave a demonstration of their literacy skills with a short show of songs and rhymes, and the kids displayed the alphabet projects they created.

Aiden reciting one of the letter rhymes they learned in Kindergarten.

Showing off his alphabet project (someone pulled off part of the "R").

Pictures with his buddy, Johanna, and his teachers, Mrs. Azer and Ms. Bellerice.

Aiden had an amazing first year of school and is excited about becoming a First Grader in the Fall!

Devin has also loved his first "school" experience, and we're thankful he had such amazing people looking after him this year. Thursday was his last day of daycare as well as his center's art display night.

Devin showing off his block tower.

Some of his class's splatter art.

The display board in his classroom.

Showing us how he can wash his hands (one of his favorite things to do in class).

Playing with Miss Tina.

Final hugs.

Devin's other main teacher, Miss Sue, was out sick yesterday. So we're planning to go back for a visit before the baby arrives to say our goodbyes to her. Devin has loved all his teachers, and I know he will miss them!

Words cannot express how blessed we have felt this school year to have such amazing people working with our children. We're sad to say goodbye, but we know good things are on the horizon!
