Fun in Boston

Today we decided to take the kids in town for some casual fun. Considering Boston is just 16 miles from us, we don't take advantage of the fun it offers frequently enough. We didn't plan anything in particular. We just hopped on the T and headed for the Boston Common.

Once in town, we headed for the Frog Pond and the Little Tadpole playground.

Devin recently decided that tall, twisty slides are a blast, so he headed there pretty fast.

Aiden decided to try out the monkey bars.

After playing for a while, we headed for the carousel and enjoyed a little snack while the kids watched the carousel riders (they didn't actually want to ride).

We then walked down to the Public Gardens to look at the swans in the swan pond and take a ride on the swan boats (something I've never done in my 13 years of living in the Boston area).

We stopped to play in a few dry fountains.

Then we got on one of these:

We then continued our walk through the Public Gardens. Devin stopped to play a street performer's guitar.

It was a beautiful day to be in the city...

But we were all a little tired by the time we headed home...

We hope your Saturday was just as beautiful!
