Berry Picking!

This morning we went berry picking at Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon and had a great time. I was afraid it would be too muddy with all the recent downpours but it was perfect weather and just messy enough for a toddler without having to change into the extra set of clothes I brought for him.

A new member of our playgroup came for her maiden visit and brought her little boy, Jake, who is a month older than Aiden. They hit it off real fast and were off on their own adventures while their boring mothers chatted and picked black raspberries (yum!).

After picking we stopped by the swinging horses for a little fun.

Then it was over to the 4H shed to see some goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits. Aiden and Jake had the same idea on getting to the sheep.

We then went inside to see them a little more closely. We even fed them some grain pellets provided by the 4H club (Aiden fed them one pellet at a time).  I snapped this shot about a second after Aiden had raised his hand to wave at the sheep and said "Hi! Eep!"

Not a great picture of me or Aiden but Aiden was more interested in getting back to the sheep and I'd been out in the sun for two hours! (Aiden actually looks way more cranky than he was)

Before leaving we had to stop by the toy pit so Aiden could ride the John Deer tricycle. Think he's ready for one yet? He told me it's what he wants for his birthday... {wink, wink}

It was a fun and successful trip to the berry farm!
